The 2021 limited-edition seasonal release Glen Scotia 12 Year Old was initially matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon and American oak hogsheads, and finished in both first-fill oloroso sherry hogsheads and heavily-charred American oak barrels. Aromas of rich toffee, apples, sea spray, creamy vanilla and salted caramel fill the nose, complemented by notes of brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, dried orange peel and roasted walnuts throughout the palate, with hints of warming ginger spice lingering in the finish.
